Last night we watched the final programme of the BBC nature series following the changing seasons in Yellowstone National Park. The photography was just breath-taking and I’m not ashamed to admit that at times I was quite teary at the beauty shown. What a wonderful world we live in.
We watch the BBC so little in our house that I often decry having to pay a wopping great licence fee. Then I see a series like this and in one fell swoop they have redeemed themselves – this is Aunty Beeb at her very best.
If you haven’t seen this series and are interested in photography, nature and wildlife then, seriously, this is a ‘must see’.
(A hi-def/Blue-Ray DVD is available to buy at both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and, of course over at the BBC’s own shop site. Yellowstone in Autumn is also currently showing on BBC iPlayer).

If you ever get the chance to visit in person you would be blown away…it is a spectacular area of the country
It’s a place that I’ve wanted to visit for some time but this series made me even more determined to do so.
Stunning! Nature is refreshment for my soul!
*Exactly* how I feel. Sights and places like this recharge my very essence on a level I can’t quite explain.
Wow…astounding natural beauty!!!
Yes I don’t know why I insist on crying at both the bad *and* the good but this series had me welling up at least once in every programme!
That IS amazing! So worth “the watch!”
I don’t normally buy DVDs of wildlife programmes but this was so stunning that yesterday I ‘hot footed’ it over to Amazon, credit card in hand!
